Entrepreneurs Heroes - Bruce Thompson

Bruce Thompson with his Family
This week in my entrepreneur program, one of the article heroes was Bruce Thompson.

Bruce was a very successful entrepreneur, and that he not only succeeded in his entrepreneur efforts but also in his personal life. When he passed away in his early 50s (1956-2009) he did so knowing that he was there for his family throughout most of his life. As an entrepreneur, he valued doing what was right and his families and friends more than financial success. He learned early that there will never be enough time to do all the things that need to be done in business and that his time with his family was far more limited and important then getting that one last thing done in the office.

To squeeze out time for his family and his business he often found that he had to put in 20+ hours and then accept that that was all that he could give.

I hope that I can live my life as an entrepreneur accepting my time limitations and not sacrificing my values or family for financial success.
